is cigna insurance that much better than medical?

i pay $50 every 2 weeks for cigna.i’m planning to use it for check ups,emergencies,dental braces,and eye contacts pretty much.does medical cover the same things as well?how big is the difference between cigna and medical?is it worth the extra $100 a month,when medical is free?my friend said the only difference is that when you’re at any doctors or dentist,they take people with insurance priority.

What do you mean, "medical"? Cigna IS "medical insurance". Maybe you mean Medi-Cal, welfare health insurance? It’s much easier to find a doctor who TAKES Cigna, than who takes welfare. Not only that, you have to QUALIFY, to be on welfare health insurance.

  1. In what state are you located? In my state, Cigna is a health insurance plan just like any other; I’m not sure to what type of plan you are referring.
