What regulatory body in the UK would I contact about having my Medical Assistant certification recognized?

I am in the US and will graduate from my Medical Assistant certification course in January. I am wanting to go to University in the UK and I would love to work as a Medical Assistant. Here, a MA works under the doctor’s license NOT the nurse’s. Would I need to contact the Nurse/Midwifery council or another group? Thanks!

I am not sure there is an equivalent in the UK
