Your Online Personal Health Record
What is a Personal Health Record?
A Personal Health Record with ER-IDcard is a way to organize, manage and share your medical records with healthcare professionals.
Why should I create Personal Health Record?
The best reason for creating a Personal Health Record is instant access to your medical records when you need it. Imagine how useful the ER-IDcard would be during an emergency or at a Doctors office if the healthcare professionals could know your medical conditions, allergies, medications, family contact information and healthcare directives and so much more about you. The ER-IDcard could save your life.

ER-IDcard
I am currently an …
I am currently an intern at AHIMA. My experience here has enabled me to develop an understanding of the importance of maintaining a PHR. I like the concept of the ER-ID card, but as a consumer worry what would happen if my card was lost or stolen. Who then has access to my personal health information and how will that information be used? All of the privacy and security risks I have recently learned about makes me a bit reluctant. What measures do you take to prevent these types of risks?
