L.A. CITY COUNSEL IS GOING TO STRIP YOU OF YOUR RIGHTS TO OBTAIN MEDICAL MARIJUANA THROUGH NEARLY ALL DISPENSARIES THAT ARE DUE TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!! THIS IS AN URGENT CALL TO ACTION!

Unless medical cannabis advocates can persuade them to do otherwise, the Los Angeles City Council will vote on a badly flawed medical cannabis ordinance on Wednesday, November 18. Advocates need more time to improve the ordinance to protect patient privacy, allow for sales of cannabis, and make location restrictions reasonable.

You can help by asking City Council President Eric Garcetti to delay the vote for at least one week by calling him at (213)-473-7013 or emailing councilmember.garcetti@lacity.org

LA City Council may BAN all “sales” of medical cannabis this WEEK! The decision to schedule the ordinance on Wednesday’s City Council meetingis unfortunate. Council members who are not on the Public Safety or PLUM Committees need time to catch up on this issue. Council members are feeling pressure from the City Attorney, media, and neighborhood groups to move quickly on this issue. We must encourage President Garcetti and his colleagues not to be bullied into adopting the badly flawed ordinance being pushed by entrenched staff at the City Attorney’s office. Look for more information about the fifth revised draft ordinance over the weekend, and stay tuned for some fireworks in Los Angeles next week.

Its my job as the Executive Director for Beverly Hills NORML90210 to rip the door open to the closets of the REAL women behind the Marijuana Reform movement. The time is now to take a stand and make a change but boldly coming out of the closet.

We as a modern society can fiscally improve our budget by moving cannabis from the criminal sector into the lawful sector. This is not a left or right issueits really common sense and Government can do good things.

I am asked all the time about marijuana being a gateway drug and the corruption of our youth. Actually, you know who is opposed to the legalization of marijuana are the drug dealers and it is their margins that will be going down. Its an incentive for them to prey on our sons and daughters.

The cannabis movement is not just the Stiletto Stoners, not just medical marijuana patients and not just the stereotypical dead head from the 70s. Its a broad cross section of Americans.
