Has anyone on here recieved a letter like this in their post?

A few weeks ago my girl friend got a letter saying "Important Medical Documents Enclosed" So she opened it and inside was an X ray type photo of a brain scan, with a star in the middle and above it said "Situation Terminal". She burst into tears terrified she had a brain tumour or something.

A few weeks before that she had a Brain scan after injuring her head and being KO’d after a horse riding accident fortunately there was no serious damage only concussion so she was allowed home.

Now she receives this letter and puts two and two together thinking something serious like a fatal tumour had been found!

So I looked at the letter and turned it over as requested only to find to my anger and relief that it was advertisement suggesting subscription to an online gaming site. The X ray photo could have been anyones, maybe copied form a text book, but it did look very convincing.

When I told her it was a junk mail advert she cried with relief but she too was so angry.

I’m sure they don’t really intend to terrify or upset people but do these companies not think that such irresponsible marketing could cause all manner of problems and misunderstandings? Probably not all they think about is making money. They may think its humor but me or my lass did not see anything funny about it.
We tried to complain to them but got now contact details just an online payment form to join up. It really is disgusting, I know it was a coincidence but it scared the living dayights out of my girl friend!

Some people in my street and at the pub had got similar letters around Drake avenue and Queen Victoria cresent.

Would any of you be angry or did you get this junk mail?

That is dreadful, but here’s another one for you. My friends husband has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. They received a visit from the MND Nurse who gave them a poster for fund raising to put in their window. When she had gone they looked at it and it said. ‘ Did you know that from diagnoses to death can be 18 months.
How insensitive was that.
UK

What do you mean, "medical"? Cigna IS "medical insurance". Maybe you mean Medi-Cal, welfare health insurance? It’s much easier to find a doctor who TAKES Cigna, than who takes welfare. Not only that, you have to QUALIFY, to be on welfare health insurance.

i suffer from severe depression and OCD, and have been for a long while, and I’ve been trying with a lot of different combos and meds, but now i have a problem, i recently moved countries and i have just run out of effexor, i took a very high dosage (350 mg a day). Which withdrawal symptoms does sudden discontinuation from effexor show? and are they sever? should i contact medical help here asap? or is it safe to just suffer trough the symptoms until they cease?

It is very possible that you will experience very severe side effects when you are withdrawing from this medication.

You need to get in touch with a doctor who will be able to prescribe this for you as soon as possible.

If you are unable to obtain the medication go to the emergency room of any hospital and explain to them that you are withdrawing from your medication and it is possible that they will be able to supply you with enough to last until you are able to see the doctor and obtain the prescription.
