I’m going to keep is simple (unlike the other answers): we don’t know enough.

Your prescription is something that you see through for your best visual ability. So when the contacts or glasses say -2.50, anyone in the eye industry knows that giving you a -2.50 contact or -2.50 glasses will give you the best visual clarity.

Your best visual ability is written in a 6/x or 20/x notation, and the rules everyone use is "the smallest letter-size visible at 6m or 20ft". What "6/9 pass" refers to is that you must be able to see the 9-size letter at 6m, or further back (which makes it harder). One analogy is to look at your pen tip: hold it a hand-span from your face, and the tip looks plenty big. Hold the tip at arms length, and it’s smaller. So we use letters of various sizes to test your best ability, and do so at a "standard" 6m distance.
To answer your question, please go back to your eye-professional to ask what they had down as your "VA" or "Visual acuity" – this is the 6/x number you want. Otherwise, 6/9 is generally the 2nd-bottom line on a screening chart they have at my local motor registry, so it should be the same on your medical check.

For those who are particular about the -2.50 thing above: I do know that glasses and contact lens prescriptions are often different by 0.25D. However, it’s a side-issue not to be debated here in context of this question. Thanks =)
