what can you do? He has also filed grievances. They say in the policy that inmates are to get proper medical treatment but they don’t until it is almost to late. Then they only way they do you have to complain the governor’s office. As of now they have waited so long he has several medical issues, one behind the other. I have contacted, lawyers, CCA, TDOC, the governor, the commissioner, the warden, the state representative, the mayor of the city and the medical expert in the prison. They only try to cover it up. so when someone say they have someone in prison that is not getting proper medical treatment it no LIE. he is still sittin there suffering with brain damage from infection and is suppose to get an MRI but has not being taking yet. The same thing happened when it all began when he got bit by a brown recluse they wait for 5 months before taking him to a medical hospital and the only reason they did then was because I contacted everyone I could thin of all the way to the governor’s office.By this time is was so serious all the other problems started. this is how it all began. He is not a murder, child molester, rapist, sex offender, none of these and no he don’t have life. this time i contacted the president’s office but they are still dragging their feet. So to the person that responded to the other comment about the dad not getting help no it is not a lie.

You need to talk to your senator and see if they can help you.

Is there a way to request information from the city of Atlanta?

I live in Florida, but I want to get information about a building I’ve been researching in Atlanta since going there a few months ago; the Medical Arts Building on Peachtree. I’ve felt such an unexplainable pull to this building and I want to know every bit of history there is that has happened and about it. Unfortunately there hasn’t been much I’ve been able to find online, except pictures and the bare minimum. So, would I be able to contact the city and see if they could mail or email me some detailed information about the building? It’s on the Atlanta Preservation Center’s List of Endangered Buildings and is a designated Landmark Building to the city. Any help is appreciated

The city probably won’t be much help but the preservation center should be. Have you tried to contact them?

You can also locate the owner of the building through public records searches. As far as I know the building is for sale but the asking price is too high for anyone to make a serious offer. It would cost a small fortune to renovate/restore the building.

Previous employer possibly giving me a negative reference?

I previously worked for a well-known medical university in New York City, as an administrative assistant. It was a part-time position that only last five months, as I left the country for a Fulbright fellowship and quit – with over a month’s a notice, and trained my replacement. Upon my return, and upon receipt of my Master’s in Arts this June, I am currently applying to positions and using my previous supervisor as one of my references. While we did not have a stellar personal relationship, professionally, I was always on time, reliable, did my work and tried to not only meet but exceed expectations, and never called out. The previous girl in my position did not get along well with this supervisor, and even the HR department was privy to how difficult it was to get along with this particular supervisor (which is why it was so difficult to constantly fill the position). I’ve only been working after college for three years, but I’ve had shining references before this position, and I work hard to pay rent, tuition, etc. Recently, one of my prospective employers told me that they will be issuing me an offer letter after checking into my references. I emailed for follow up on said references, and got a response that said "Thank you for your interest, but we’ve decided to go with another candidate and made this decision yesterday." After asking this prospective employer about my references, she said they all got back to her – and I am personally under the impression that this particularly supervisor gave me a negative review, as all of my other references I still keep in close contact with. Plain and simple, what can I do to look into this matter further? I’m 25 years old and looking for "real" jobs now – I don’t need this woman plaguing my track record of normally stellar performances. It was also a very good job and looks great on my resume, and I don’t want to omit it. I know that it’s a possibility that this company really did go with an internal candidate at the last moment, but I don’t really believe that – what legitimate, well-reputed organization offers you a job, and then pulls out last minute, coincidentally just after checking your references? Any advice would be helpful – I am angry and frustrated, and I don’t want this to be repeated with other potential positions.

Have a friend call and ask for a reference.

If you discover she is giving you a poor reference drop by and ask someone from the personnel department if you can give their name instead.

What should I do with an apartment that is in bad condition?

In July I am moving out of my current apartment to rent a condo. I have been really deep cleaning as I am packing so that I won’t have a big cleaning job at the end. There has been no damage to the apartment whatsoever. However, I was scrubbing the walls down in the apartment’s bathroom only to find large amounts of black mold on my personal items under the sink. I have noticed the mold around the grouting in the bath tub but this made me really sick. I stored my cotton balls, Q tips in an expensive handmade basket under the sink. The basket has a liner and a plastic liner which I placed in it to protect the items. I pulled out the basket and was sickened to see the entire bottom of the basket covered in a thick, icky mold. I put the basket and liner in a bleach water trying to save it. It did work. The electricity for no reason will have small outages in the kitchen. I have to reset the microwave clock daily. I have lost several kitchen appliances to these surges. The items were on good, expensive power surge protectors.

I tried contacting the city hall about this matter and they refused to investigate the problem. I don’t believe that this landlord should be allowed to rent out this apartment. The unit isn’t safe at all. I paid my rent faithfully on time every month for 4 years. I kept the apartment spotless. I can’t afford to keep on buying new kitchen appliances, medical bills for skin problems and allergies this is why I’m leaving. Should I contact another government agency about the building? I’m afraid for the health of another tenant in this mess. Thanks.

Make sure you discuss all these problems with the landlord clearly. If he refuses to acknowledge the problem, call the health department and you shift to a new place ASAP.

How can I get to know this hot medical student?

I’m a 19-year-old 1st-year university student, aspiring to become a doctor. I’m apparently beautiful, smart, and a great person overall. I’ve never had a boyfriend, but my friends think that’s because guys are intimidated by me, and I’m a lot more mature than guys my age. Anyways, I’m kind of lonely.

My mom is a kindergarten teacher. She was talking to the mother of one of her students, and it turns out that this parent has a nephew attending medical school at the same university that I attend. He’s 5 years older than me, VERY cute (from his facebook profile picture), has traveled around the world on volunteer trips (I have done the same), and grew up in the same city as me. He’s also single. When my mom was talking to his aunt, they discussed a recent trip to volunteer at an African hospital that he went on. Knowing that this is the sort of experience that I would want to partake in, my mom asked if I should contact this guy to ask for more info about it, and his aunt told me to send him a message on facebook.

My mom thinks this guy sounds perfect for me. We share the same religion, hometown, career aspirations, university, and compassionate personalities. She told me to send him a message on facebook about his trip to Africa, so I sent him this message:

Hey! You don’t know me, and I know this is kind of random, but I’ve met your little cousin, because my mother was his teacher. I had heard through your aunt about your trip to Africa. I’m thinking of going into medicine myself and I was wondering if this was an experience you would recommend. This upcoming spring I will be going to volunteer in South America for 8 weeks and I’m considering any ideas for my next healthcare-related trip.

I’m not sure if he’s going to respond, because he’s really busy studying all the time, but what should I do if he does? I’d really like to get to know him better. How could I let him know that I’d be interested in a relationship, but be clear that I wouldn’t be all clingy and waste his time? I’d honestly be happy to just hang out in the library studying with him.
He answered me a day after I sent him the message! His reply is really, really long and he seems like a really nice, intelligent guy. He told me that he’d be willing to answer any questions I have about medical school, and he’d try to respond ASAP.

honestly i dont think you have done anyhting wrong but in response wise you could meet up if he says yes to your gesture or say okay and find another way to get close to him such as a study date with help in your career choice or to go out for a cup of coffee, i dont think that would hurt, you guys could actually bond. but i would keep the conversation mostly on your career job choices but you could eventualy linger off othe that topic and get into more personal topics and that could build a good freindship

Looking for financial help for Hepatitis C in Texas?

First off some info about me and what led up to the hep c diagnosis….I’m 34, a hairstylist with no insurance, also type 2 diabetic….took a fall in sept. 2010, sprained ankle twice in a week which cut off blood supply to my foot, caused a diabetic abcess which required a hospital stay of 15 days and 3 surgeries…haven’t worked since then….just started physical therapy to relearn how to walk….while in hospital bloodwork came back positive for Hep C…told my general practitioner about it and how was i going to pay for biopsy, testing, meds etc with no insurance and no way to work right now….he said to get ahold of medicaid, texas rehab, county indigent care program, was denied by medicaid and county due to "making" too much (i get 350 a month for child support, their bracket is 214 for 2 people), texas rehab doesn’t handle long term medical issues, told me to contact women’s clinic in larger city but they wont help since i don’t live in their county….i’m at a loss….i know that i can possibly get help with the meds thru the companies but does ANYONE know who i can contact about financial help getting a biopsy and whatever tests have to be done??? There’s no way i can afford it….bills are paid with my daughter’s disability and child support and the rest goes to taking care of her….i’m scared and have no clue where to turn….any ideas??? Texas is a large state and resources to treat hepatitis vary depending on the area of the state you live. As you found out, there are treatment resources in the larger cities that are only available to residents of that city.

What type of hepatitis C test did you receive at the hospital? Was it an ELISA test? If so, a positive test result only means that you have been exposed to the hepatitis C virus, not that you have chronic hepatitis C.

Have you had a confirmatory test done? Have you had a viral load test? If not, contact the Texas Liver Coalition, they are a part of St. Luke’s Hospital and can provide free or low cost testing.

The bottom line is that the state or national government does not have a program that can provide financial help if you cancer, chronic hepatitis, or any other life threatening disease. Your best bet would be to get health insurance. Good luck.

MONROE — A suspected illegal immigrant is in the Middletown City Jail facing three counts of rape for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl.

Eduardo Nunez-rios, 19, of Sarasota Street in Liberty Twp., is being held on a $75,000 bond after being accused of raping the Lemon Twp. girl. His preliminary hearing has been continued to Jan. 7, according to jail officials.

Police said they have reported Nunez-rios’ illegal status and pending charges to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Police said Nunez-rios developed a relationship over summer with the girl — who lives in the same trailer park area — when she was still under the age of 13 .

“They had sexual contact with each other,” said Monroe Lt. Brian Curlis.

The girl’s parents discovered she was having a relationship with a man in November and contacted Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Liberty Twp. , Curlis said.

“So they took her to the hospital and then the Children’s Hospital reported it to us. Then we went out there and talked to the parents, and the parents didn’t know about the relationship,” Curlis said.

Information the girl relayed to her parents tipped them off about the relationship, he said.

Curlis said the girl kept a diary with details about their sexual relationship.

Besides the diary, he said police confiscated cells phones used by Nunez-rios and the girl.

which agency provides more direct medical services to citizens in Hawaii?

Direct medical services is HMSA, Hawaii Medical Services Association. The State Director on Aging oversees many things, but doesn’t give any services per se. And on the outside island it is the counties of Hawaii, Maui, and Kauai that help. On O’ahu, it is the City and County of Honolulu for the whole island.

Missing fiance in pasay city manlia ,philippines area?

I’m from the U.S. and my fiance is from the Philippines. I have been in a relationship with my fiance for 6 years now. We was currently working on finishing reqiurments for a fiance visa. All we had left to do was finish her medical exam then her interview. October 8 was the last time I talk with her on her moms phone when she went to visit her because she had lost her phone a week before. She went back to Pasay city where she lived She spoke with her mom on the 10th on her friends phone and last time she talked with her. She was in pain from a broken tooth when she talk with her mom.
The next day we lost contact with her for a couple days. She had until the end of the week on the 15th to get her exam finished. We haven’t heard from her since the 10th. She would have contacted someone either through my messenger or called from her friends.
Her mom called me and of course was worried as was I. So her mom traveled to her friends in Manila and found out her friend had just moved from that address the same week. Her friend was a girl who had a boyfriend that stayed with her. So her mom traveled to her home in pasay city Villamor airbase. She was not there either. The owner said he had not seen her for a couple days. Her mom talked to one of the tricycle drivers that wait in the area for peoples transportion. He said he had seen her walking up the street and a car with 3 guys inside driving around was looking at her. Not knowing for sure if they did anything but sounds strange.
I dont know if they have alot of kidnappings of young girls for human trafficking but that is what i am thinking happened.
it has been 6 days since i’ve last had contact with her and her mom also.Her mom has been to the police with photos. I asked her to check hospitals not sure if she has yet.
I am going to call the embassy on monday when they open, but I wanted to know if anyone knows the best place to contact for missing persons? I dont know if a private investigator handles this kind of situation. I though of going to the NBI . Who else do you think I should contact? I am so scared right now

When should I contact a USMC Recruiter?

I want to join the Marines ( in the Reserves) next summer. This fall I am starting my first year in college and during the year I would like to get things started with joining the Marines. I have over 50 pounds to lose and am working on doing so right now. I have some possible medical waivers to get approved. Should i go ahead and contact a recruiter when school starts or wait until I lose the weight?

college Move in day is the 21st and classes start the 26th. My school is in another city than I live so I want to contact the recruiter in the town that my school is in.

I would do it very soon. Before the end of December. It doesn’t matter where your recruiter is from. But even if you need to loose some weight, they will have exercise programs that will help.
The sooner you do it, the more time you will have (with the information they give you) to think about your decision. Make sure you know what job you want to do and really be prepared for boot camp.
