i suffer from severe depression and OCD, and have been for a long while, and I’ve been trying with a lot of different combos and meds, but now i have a problem, i recently moved countries and i have just run out of effexor, i took a very high dosage (350 mg a day). Which withdrawal symptoms does sudden discontinuation from effexor show? and are they sever? should i contact medical help here asap? or is it safe to just suffer trough the symptoms until they cease?

It is very possible that you will experience very severe side effects when you are withdrawing from this medication.

You need to get in touch with a doctor who will be able to prescribe this for you as soon as possible.

If you are unable to obtain the medication go to the emergency room of any hospital and explain to them that you are withdrawing from your medication and it is possible that they will be able to supply you with enough to last until you are able to see the doctor and obtain the prescription.

The medication isn’t for a serious condition but prevents painful constipation that cannot be controlled by diet alone and is a long term medication. My daughter is 8 and has suffered since she was only 8 weeks old and we have tried everything else. Since being on this med, she is a totally different child, much happier and no longer in pain. My second daughter is 6 and already has a tomato allergy but dr advised to keep a food diary as she obviously seems to be reaction to something else also (her lips swells and get very red and sore). He refuses to do this and says that she is not allergic to anything and just licks her lips lots which makes them sore. I cannot speak to him as i left due to domestic violence and he still intimidates me. His girlfriend picks the children up and i talk to her with no effect. He just seems to the opposite of what i say. I would refuse to let them go but there is a court order in place and i really not sure if i want to get social services involved you hear so many scare stories.

Any advise would be so helpful!!! Thanks

Forget social service, talk to the courts and tell them what is going off, if he isn’t following medical advice then he is not fit to care for them on weekends

I wasn’t so familiar with all the details of RAID 1 and how different controller cards handle it differently. I tried to clone an old OEM HDD to a new identical HDD via 3ware 9650SE. Now I’ve lost the original drive in that it won’t boot. I was impatient and took a risk and "built" the array knowing this could happen. Should I bother buying a USB-SATA cable and d****ng around with freeware or should I just spend the $500 at a data recovery place? It’s someone else’s computer with a ton of contacts and medical info on it and I would like to get it back ASAP. BTW Any suggestions for good formatting error fixes? I haven’t written anything to the drive since erasing it.
Thanks.

first, recover your files. You will need to use something like asoftech data recovery.
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/

I’ve had to use it many times in the past but in this case you need to plug that drive into another system as an external drive or slave drive and run the software from there. It will rebuild the drive and hopefully recover the files.

After you get back your files, you can then format the drive and reinstall your system.

I have three medical collection accounts. One is for $50 and was last reported 07/2005 only to Experian, Second is $200 and although just as old was recently reported Equifax 05/2011 and the other agencies 09/2010. The third is for $1000 was reported 06/2010 to Equifax, but not since 05/2006 to the other agencies.

I really want to improve my credit and could easily pay the first two off, but will have a harder time with the larger amount. My question is should I contact the collection agencies to request a "pay to delete"? Negotiate pay? or would I just be waking a sleeping dragon?

It should also be noted that I could use the money to pay off a high balance credit card instead.

Medical accounts report for 7 years (not 7 1/2 years) starting from the date the bill was created and you were expected to pay (that would be the date you saw the medical provider). If you plan to pay then you should use your HIPAA rights and bypass the collector and pay the original medical provider through their HIPAA Compliance Dept., though you would have to pay the full amount that is due the original medical provider (not what the collector claims is due). Once the original medical provider is paid in full then they are required by law to recall the debt from the collector, to have the collector remove everything in their files concerning the debt and to remove anything that was placed on your reports.

Medical debts would fall under the UCC, for goods and services, with a 4 year statute of limitations. If the medical debt comes from a hospital that receives state, federal, civic, etc., funding then a SOL defense on it’s own may not be much of a defense.

You might go to the site I’ve listed in the source box and do some reading in the Medical Forum. You will be able to find a guide in how to deal with the original medical providers, and also the collectors and the credit bureaus if needed. The site is free to read, ask any questions you may have and to use any info that you find on it.

Yes they can. There’s nothing in the law that restricts next of kin to people you’ve spoken with recently or people you get along with. If you don’t want somebody to make decisions for you, this is why God invented living wills and advanced directives.

like how would you go about contacting hospitals with your ideas,or who would you contact to say that you want to help in anyway, even if its long distance like helping with emails organizing and networking, starting new projects how would you approach this?Like for very ill children who need operations you could make pillows for them,or making stuff yourself and donating it and have the money go to a certain cause, just how would i go about this?thanks so much in advance

Try by getting a free fundraising kit from various websites. It’s a great way to learn more about the fundraising options they offer. With the right information and the right tools they can help you make your next fundraiser a success.

All fundraising groups are going to have to sell their items to generate money. Everyone starts with selling to mom and dad then moves on to friends. The more successful the campaign means the more people you will actually have to talk to. Here are a collection of sales tips you can use to help you while you are raising funds.

- Have fun and enjoy what you are doing. It is not necessary to have a canned speech and perform it by memory. You can talk to people and have fun with your campaign, the donors will pick up on this and sales will increase.
- Be honest while making the rounds for sales. You are a representative of your school group.
- People do not want to be told what to do. Your job is to make people feel good about donating to your school group.
- When you get a no, don’t take it personally. The donors are not saying they don’t like you; they just may not care for the product or have the money available at the time.
- For people who are nervous about selling a little preparation is key. By practicing your sales talk it will bring confidence. Again the goal is not to recite something word for word but to talk about your fundraising campaign with confidence. It might sound a little funny but try role-playing if selling is an issue with you. Spend time with people rehearsing just talking and getting past an objection or two.
- Avoid hard selling. There is no need to be pushy while fundraising. People like to help out and also enjoy buying. You may even be able to offer them the chance to show up to school to check out the new equipment, or the new uniforms for the baseball team. By being friendly and a good representative you just might pick up new volunteers along the way.
- If possible get a booth or a table in a high traffic area. Places like malls or local events. This will get you lots of traffic and potential donors that you can approach.

These sales tips are good for whatever sales you might find yourself in. You might even consider these tips good advice for talking to people and relating. Remember interacting with people will serve you better than just about any learned skill taught. A little preparation with these tips will insure that your fundraising campaign is both fun and profitable.

I have these wierd bumps right under my scrotum next to my testicals and also on the side of my testicals. The bumps are red with white tops and there are many of them and they itch very bad and alot. I have never had sex or any sexual contact with anyone. Please answer or email me and I could send a picture if you like.

They are red because you’ve been scratching them. They are sebaceous cysts, fairly common and completely harmless. The scratching may cause a general infection* if you break the skin*.IF you have an infection/broken skin, consider using an over the counter antibiotic cream on them fora few days.

If you haven’t likely got an infection yet, you may have the male equivalent to a yeast infection. Fortunately for guys it’s very cheap and easy to fix. Ask your pharmacist for a generic antifungal cream. It works as well as the expensive name brands. (For instance, Clotrimazole ) I suspect that is more likely a cause for the itching and the cysts were there before. Wear loose pants, boxer shorts and keep it dry down there. At home wear pyjamas or a night gown aroudn the house if you can and sleep without PJs if you can, until the itching is gone. The cysts are not harmful and they will eventually disappear, thouh it can take many months.

2) They just want to re insured of some ones ells "medical diagnostic"

what laws are against sales reps making physical contact with patients

There is no law against people making contact with other people.

There may, however, be a hospital policy which regulates visitation.

This policy can be enforced on a case by case basis.

Often a hospital has a contracts with medical equipment and pharmaceutical companies thereby giving sales reps access to patients in specified wards. When a sales rep from one of these companies makes physical contact with a patient for the purpose of demonstrating a product, you can be sure that this specific sales rep is also a "registered medical professional". The liability to the company is enormous, just like it is at a hospital if a nurse conducts a procedure for which she is not authorized but completely capable of doing, and you would be hard pressed to find a company willing to risk this liability.

Good Luck!
